Joel Dupree Gladin, Sr.
Joel Dupree Gladin, Sr., 73, died Friday, February 10, 2017 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side and under the care of Myra Burney and Islands Hospice. He was born March 11, 1943 in Savannah to the late Solomon and Audrey Ellis Gladin. Joel was a communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and was retired from CSX Railroad. He was a 1961 graduate of Savannah High School and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daugher, Debbie King.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Joel D. Gladin, Jr. and Julie Gladin, four grandchildren, Katey Jo Gladin, Audrey King, Amanda King, and Andrew King, his son-in-law, Robert King, and his longtime companion Patricia Foley.
Graveside Service will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Fr. Gabe Cummings officiating.
Remembrances may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church or Islands Hospice.
